Lieutenant Rochette, Lieutenant Debu, Adjudant Gibert, Sergeant Brabant.

Based in Great Britain, the Groupe Lorraine, aviation of the Free France, took part in liberation operations.

OnJuly 30, 1944 at 00:15, a B 25 Mitchell night bomber, from the Lorraine Group, flew over the Valcongrain-Hamars forest.

It was shot down by the German DCA as it passed over Hamars heading south.

The plane, in flames, crashes against the hillside.

In the explosion of the plane, the four crewmen perish.
