Stele in tribute to Corporal Ronald Baker, who was scouting on the road from Courcité to Villaines la Juhel.
At the entrance to the commune, his jeep was ambushed by the Germans. The corporal was killed instantly, while the other three occupants of the jeep were taken prisoner.
