Mont-Pinçon highest point in the region at 365m. A radar station was installed as early as 1940, part of a set of three stations. Sortosville-en- Beaumont and Baumont-Hague, in the English Channel.
Signal crossing system to direct bombers to England. Le Mont was taken after heavy fighting by the British of the 4th Wiltshire and the 13/18th Hussars, on 5-6-7 August 1944.
