Livron Bridge

The bombardmentof Creston August 13, 1944 claimed many civilian victims for little result.

The Commandant de Lassus asked Henri Faure (in charge of receiving and parachuting on "Temple" in Alex) to organize a commando to blow up the Livron bridge in order to avoid an American bombing raid with its collateral casualties and slow down a German retreat.

Successful operation on the night of August 16-17, 1944.

There were 20 in the commando.
