Mur des fusillés - La Chapelle-en-Vercors

On July 21, 1944, 600 Germans landed in gliders on the plateau de Vassieux and advanced in the direction of Chapelle-en-Vercors via the roads from Vassieux to La Chapelle over the Col de Proncel, pillaging everything in their path.
On July 25, 1944, they reached La Chapelle-en-Vercors, where they seized 16 innocent hostages, whom they massacred in heinous conditions in this courtyard.
