Necropolis Of The Resistance

The nécropole nationale de Vassieux-en-Vercors is a military cemetery of the Resistance situated on the roadside at the entrance to the village of Vassieux. Covering an area of 8,300 m2, it was created in 1948 and brings together 187 individual graves materialized by white-painted cement crosses:

- those 86 of Resistance fighters members of the FFI;
- those of 52 inhabitants of Vassieux;
- those of 49 unknown.
