Char Churchill AVRE
The Churchill AVRE (Armoured Vehicule Royal Engineers) tank from the 79th Armoured Division was donated by General Sir Ian Harris commanding the 2nd Battalion Royal Ulster Rifles. It is equipped with a 290 mm mortar Near the tank, the Liberation Monument commemorating the liberation of the town on June 7, 1944, and the stele honoring the soldiers of the 41st Royal Marine Commando.
