National Resistance Museum

Initiated in 1965, the idea of a Musée de la Résistance nationale (MRN) took shape thanks to the support of local authorities, resistance fighters and deportees, unions, associations and ordinary citizens.

Since 1985, the museum site in Champigny-sur-Marne has been housed in a 19th-century mansion in the Parc Vercors on the banks of the Marne. In 2000, the Centre de conservation et de consultation "Jean-Louis Crémieux-Brilhac" was inaugurated as a conservation, research and documentation center. Its mission is to safeguard, study and enrich the collections (archives, objects, libraries) of the Musée de la Résistance nationale, to make them accessible to a broad public, and to design and implement educational and dissemination initiatives.
