Musée mémorial de la Madeleine

Chapelle de la Madeleine is a chapel located in Saint-Lô in the French department of Manche. It is located right next to the national stud farm, on the route de Bayeux. It is the remnant of a former 14th-century leper colony. It was listed as a historic monument on September 3, 1974, and was restored between 1988 and 1994.
A memorial to the Liberation was inaugurated in May 1995 in honor of the soldiers of the 29th Infantry Division and 35th Infantry Division who liberated Saint-Lô in 1944. Photos, commemorative plaques, paintings and flags are on display.
