Hatten Shelter Museum

Located 50kms from Strasbourg and 40kms from Karlsruhe, the Abri de Hatten is an underground barracks. Built in 1930, the structure provided all the facilities needed to house and feed a company of soldiers in wartime: bedrooms, kitchens, sanitary facilities, wells, boiler room, infirmary, engine room, protection against combat gases and close defense.
