Canada and Poland War II Museum

The Canadian museum, is a private initiative established by Mr Gilbert Van Landschoot and receives no support from public authorities. The museum was inaugurated on June 28, 1995, in the presence of His Majesty the King and many other national and international dignitaries.
The origin of the private museum is a promise made by Mr. Gilbert Van Landschoot to his father, who died in 1987. Before he died, on his deathbed, he revealed to his son the role he had played during the 2nd World Conflict. He helped hundreds of people, resistance fighters, Allied agents and pilots, refractory to compulsory labor in Germany, Jewish people, escape the clutches of the Gestapo.
