Three Belgians escaped from a Brest camp belonging to the Todt organization, and were joined by an escaped prisoner and young STO draft dodgers . On May 15, 1944, 7 of the resistance fighters from the maquis de Pen-Ar-Pont were shot by the Germans on the dunes of the Mousterlin beach near Fouesnant .
