SAS Roger et Lucien Rotenstein

The parachutists of the 3rd SAS of Free France jumped over North Finistère on August 5, 1944 as part of the Derry mission, in order to harass the German army stationed in this sector.
First hidden in a farmhouse in Bourg Blanc. On August 7, 1944, they are informed of the presence of German soldiers in the bell tower of the Gouesnou church.
The SAS attack but will have to fall back in the face of arriving German reinforcements. Lucien Rotenstein and Georges Roger will lose their lives during this fighting.
