Execution Moncontour 1944

Memorial in honor of the victims of the German Fallschirmjäger (parachutists) who, on August 5, 1944, following and in retaliation for fighting with the FFI in the vicinity of Moncontour, where 3 German soldiers were killed and some 40 others wounded, the parachutists coldly murdered 12 civilians including two women.
