Text of the plaque:

Here, in the midst of the German occupation, the American navigator RAGNAR GUSTAFSON, who fell aboard a bomber on June 17, 1944 at Torcé Vivier en Charnie, was hidden by the grocery store owners RINGEARD.

The people of Juigné discovered him on the day the village was liberated.
