In the night of december 26-27 1943 Lt Francis Vourch and five frenchmen of n°10 inter-allied commando made a reconnaissance of the surroundings of Quinéville and so brought back valuable information.
These particulars contributed to the succes of the landing operations of the 4 th U.S. Divisions at UTAH BEACH on June 6 th 1944
