Stele for civilian victims
Psmall square named "square du 6 juin 1944" in memory of the civilian victims of the June 6, 1944 bombing. Ecouché had a major railway station and ammunition depot at the time. In the early afternoon, the town became a target for Allied bombers, who unfortunately caused the death of forty-four people and the destruction of part of the town. The names of the victims are engraved on a stele.
