Memorial to soldiers of the 2nd US Infantry Division killed during the liberation of Saint-Georges-d'Elle. Saint-Georges-d'Ellewas liberated on July 11, 1944 by the 2nd Infantry Division and the 741st Tank Battalion from German paratroopers (Fallschirmjäger Regiment 5).
