Pvt Robert H. Crookshanks

Plaque in memory of American soldier PVT Robert H Crookshanks of the 121st Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron of the 106th Cavalry Group, who died on August 6, 1944 at the age of 35, burned to death in his tank at the Blinière crossroads during the fighting to liberate the commune.
Buried at Golden Gate National Cemetery in California.
