La Servelle parachute drops

Here in 1944 the English parachuted weapons for the resistance fighters of the Diois.
The announcing message from Radio Londres  was:
"A herd will climb the Alpe"
There were 4 of these, on the nights of May 10 and 26, then June 24 and 25.
These airdrops provided weapons for 1,000 men and were the largest in the Drôme outside the Vercors.
The 3 cairns symbolize the fires marking the terrain.
