Gentelles Wood Memorial

On September 8, 1944, the FFI scoured the bois de Gentelles in search of German soldiers who might have been hiding there.
Alerted by a nauseating smell, the FFI group discovered two mass graves containing respectively 8 and 18 victims shot with automatic weapons and finished off with rifle butts.
