Stela in memory of Lieutenant Richard Knickerbocker pilot of a Lockheed P-38 Lightning of the 34th Photo Reconnaissance Squadron, 10th Reconnaissance Group of the 9th US Army Air Force. Shot down by flak during a reconnaissance mission, he managed to evacuate from his plane, but the parachute was too badly damaged. he lost his life near a place called "Les Béziers".
