Lt GENE H. WILLIAMS

Two steles on the square. One in memory of Lt Gene H. Williams, killed in action at Prétot on June 20, 1944. Pathfinder having jumped on Drop Zone "N" over Picauville. The second in memory of pilot Alfred Ryland Howard and observer William Windeler for the 90th US Infantry Division. Their PIPER was shot down by the FLAK on July 04, 1944.
