On August 16, 1944, Léon Gay Léon Gay resistance fighter fell on this spot, while on a mission to attack the customs post, the FTP resistance fighters of the International Red Brigade.
As the German soldiers surrendered, Léon Gay stepped into the open and was fatally shot.
