Execution July 18, 1944
On July 18, 1944, 14 maquisardsand parachutistsFrench, taken prisoner at the annex of the high school in Pontivy, then serving as a prison for the German army, were horribly tortured and mutilated.
Taken to this place chosen by the Nazis as the theater of their barbarism, they were shot there.
This was the end of their ordeal.
