Crash Halifax RAF Autheuil-Authouillet
Tribute to the crew of the Halifax which crashed not far from this site on June 12, 1944.
★ Sgt Francis John David, 20 years old, machine gunner.
★ Sgt Lishman Norman, machine gunner.
★ P/O Michael Frederik 34 years old Mc Namara, bombardier.
★ F/Sgt Philipp Robson 20 years old, radio.
★ F/Sgt Russel Percival Singleton, 20 years old, pilot.
★ Sgt Herbert Richard Smith, 27 years old, mechanic.
★ F/Sgt Stephen Joseph Thomas, 22 years old, navigator.
Died for our freedom.
