The 10 deportees

Stele in homage to the men raflés during the funeral of a man in reprisal for an act of résistance. On June 30, 1944 the SS reflated 43 people in Crozon and 10 people in Plonévez-Porzay because resistance fighters had severed communication cables between Quimper and the peninsula. Of the 53 people, 52 were deported to the concentration camp of Neuengamme, only 18 will return.
