Plounéour-Brignogan Cemetery

The military cemetery in the Plounéour-Brignogan communal cemetery is home to eleven graves of Commonwealth soldiers.
Among them are British air sergeant Gordon Davey, who lost his life on December 18, 1941 when his Hurricane plane was shot down, and Marshall Gibbons, a Canadian sailor who died when the Athabaskan sank. This ship was torpedoed by the Germans off the Île Vierge lighthouse on April 29, 1944. The nine other sailors  could not be identified.
