The Resistance offensive against the German occupiers on August 24, 1944 at the Kerviniou engaged 120 FFI .
The Germans, who decided to leave Concarneau by sea to take refuge in Lorient, had no choice but to pass through here.
Louis Sellin and Lucien Picard were killed in these fights. The next day, August 25, 1944, Concarneau was liberated.
