Stele King's Own Scottish Borderers:
Stele in memory of the 6th Battalion King's Own Scottish Borderers, 44th (Lowland) Infantry Brigade, of the 15th Scottish British Infantry Division, which took part in the liberation of the town in August 1944.

At the time of the the fighting in August 1944, the 15th Scottish British Infantry Division was under the command of Major-General Colin Muir Barber.
