Stele 1st Sergeant Lewis Goddard

Memorial in honor of American First Sergeant Lewis Goddard, a member of the Team Ivor also made up of British leader Captain John H. COX , and Frenchman Lieutenant Robert COLIN .
Their mission was to supervise and train the local maquis.
On the night of August 6-7, 1944, Sergeant Goddard and his team parachuted in, he would be found dead with his parachute not deployed correctly.
