B-17 Fortress Diplomat crash

Memorial in tribute to the crew of the B-17 Fortress Diplomatof the 390th Bomb Group, 569th Bomb Squadron of the 8th US Air Force, who after a bombing mission over Chemnitz in Germany landed flat and out of fuel there.
Landing in a liberated area, the entire crew was unharmed and quickly returned to their base at Framlingham in Suffolk in England.
