Shoah Memorial Drancy

The Drancy camp, initially an unfinished U-shaped housing estate, was requisitioned by the German authorities on June 14, 1940 to temporarily sequester its English and French prisoners. The first Jewish internees would be those rounded up on August 20, 1941, with the last convoy bound for Auschwitz departing on July 31, 1944.
