Marie Bérenger (born 1865) , shelters patriotsand resistance fighters at her home in Paramé. She also hides printing equipment.
She is arrestedin 1942 but released after 3 months' imprisonment in view of her age (she is 77). She is arrested again in September 1943. She was transferred to Belfort by the convoy of political prisoners that left Rennes on August 2, 1944. She is deported to Ravensbrück on September 1 (matricule 62803).
She died there on November 4, 1944.
Her name appears on Paramé's war memorial, which was reinstalled in Saint-Malo after the merger of the 3 communes (Saint-Malo, Paramé and Saint Servan).
