Here, a British bomber has crashed.
On their way to a mission aboard a Royal Air Force "Bristol Blenheim" light bomber, Palmer Kenneth Victor, pilot officer, Walters Douglas Allan, operator sergeant, Wright Ernest Edward, observer sergeant, met their deaths in this field, "La Pergée".
Their plane, hit by the German DCA based at Maupertus, crashed on September 20, 1940 at around 11:10 p.m.
They are buried in the Le Vast cemetery.
