From this former camp Gabriel Peri on August 13, 1944, an expedition of free men set out:
 72 fighters F.T.P.F volunteers to free 114 patriots including 16 women and 30 condemned to death from Riom prison with the cooperation of the Corps-Franc M.U.R (Mouvement Unifié de la Résistance) of Riom.
They were brought back here safe and sound that day to the 1103 rd company
