British Normandy Memorial

This memorial is dedicated to the 22 442 soldiers of Her Majesty who died during the Battle of Normandy in the summer from 06 June 1944 to 29 August 1944. On 160 columns and in a day-by-day chronology its inscribed the names, ages, ranks, regiments of each hero who died for our liberty. On the northern esplanade facing Gold Beach a magnificent sculpture depicts three soldiers charging against the ideology of evil.
