Stele marking the site of the temporary Advanced Landing Ground A-3 airfield built by the 816th Battalion AAF Engineers  and operational  from June 14 to September 1, 1944.
It received P-47 Thunderboltsfrom  368th Fighter Groupfrom June 20 to August 23, 1944 and Lockheed P-38 Lightnings from 370th Fighter Group from July 24 to August 15, 1944.
