Montpezat-de-Quercy Memorial
On May 4, 1944, Germans from the 2nd SS division Das Reich noticing the presence of maquisards in Montpezat set fire to a dozen farms, took civilians hostage and sent them for deportation.
This memorial pays tribute to the innocent victims of that tragic day.
