Ambrose Allie panel

On the night of June 5-6, 1944, Private 1st Class Ambrose Allie of the staff company of the 3rd Battalion of the 501st PIR fell onto the roof of a house on the square in Ste Marie du Mont and let himself fall, unhooking his harness.
The Germans then took him prisoner and pinned him against the wall to be shot. But his life was saved by two American paratroopers who opened fire, scaring off the two gunners.
