Plaque text: On the night of June 5-6, 1944, Colonel Roy E. Lindquist landed in this area. He commanded the 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment. Among the brave men who jumped with him was Captain William "Bill" H.NATION. He was killed on January 31, 1945, during the Battle of the Bulge.
