Douarnenez Cemetery

The Douarnenez cemetery houses the graves of the airmen of the Lancaster JB139 "Dark Victor" of the 617 Squadron of the Royal Air Force

The mission of the Lancaster (departed Lincolnshire) was the attack of U-boats. Attacked by the FLAK on August 5, 1944, it crashed in Douarnenez Bay. A stele pays tribute to the crew in the cemetery, near the airmen's grave.
