Arros battery

Vast concentration of blockhaus around a fire direction post M157. The batterie des Arros is a former French position armed with 164.7 mm tank guns, reused and modernized by the Germans to protect the entrance to the Gironde. It is located at a place called "Les Huttes" north of Soulac and includes a whole array of bunkersincluding M151, R622, M145, R621, M159 shelters and bunkers and 4 casematesM270 to house former French cannons.
Three associations manage the site and it's well worth a visit for fortification enthusiasts.
