Oorlogsmonument Sherman-tank

During the Second World War , La Roche-en-Ardenne was largely destroyed in the Battle of the Bulge. La Roche was liberated on January 11, 1945 by the British and Americans.

On December 17, 2004, this war memorial was erected to mark the 60th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge by a Belgian army cavalry regiment . It was precisely in honor of the 2nd and 3rd US Armored Divisions, who had contributed to the liberation of La Roche.
