Yves Trichard stele

Stele paying tribute to Yves Trichard, killed in action at this location, Croissant-Bouillet (on the communes of Concarneau, Melgven and Trégunc) on August 7, 1944, victim of an explosive bullet that severed his femoral artery according to the activity report of the Groupe Libération.
Posted there to block any German counterattack with the Libération group, the sentry saw a truck coming, shots rang out, Yves Trichard extricated himself to reach a field where he tried to tourniquet his wounded leg.
He will be buried first here the next day by Monsieur and Madame Richard before being laid to rest in the Beuzec-Conq cemetery.
