From the very first hours the La Motte plain was at the center of the great airborne operation
"Dragoon"
Under the command of General FREDERIK, 9000 men parachuted or transported in 407 gliders, 221 Jeeps, 213 artillery pieces.
This geographical choice made La Motte the 1st liberated village in Provence.
