In tribute to Lieutenant Yann GUIVARCH who fell here fighting the enemy gloriously on June 9, 1944 at the age of 22.
Here was seriously wounded the Lieutenant LE MIGNON dit BASANE who died of his wounds in 1950.

Dead for France.

While riding their motorcycles on the road to Chateauneuf-du-Faou, Yann Guivarch and André Mignon were ambushed. Lieutenant Yann Guivarch will be killed on the spot while André Mignon will manage to escape despite his serious wounds after shooting two German soldiers.
