Memorial in tribute to the  victims of the German army who executed the 11 hostages of Vif at this location on July 20, 1944
Capture of the eleven hostages by the a Wehrmacht  on Place Carnot, now Place des onze Otages, in reprisal for an armed assault by the Resistanceagainst the Occupier. The eleven hostages taken to Col du Fau are shot.
