Iwo Jima Marine Memorial

The USMC War Memorial, or United States Marine Corps War Memorial is an American military monument located near Arlington National Cemetery in Rosslyn, Virginia. The memorial is dedicated to all members of the United States Marine Corps (USMC) who have died in defense of their nation since 1775. The statue is a reproduction of Joe Rosenthal's famous photograph of the Battle of Iwo Jima: "Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima" when the Marines raised the Star Spangled Banner.
