Brother Joseph Salaün

At the very start of the occupation, brother Joseph Salaün became involved in the Resistance, helping young people evade the STO (Service du Travail Obligatoire). He also took part in one of the first broadcasts of the Réseau Johnny. Arrested by the Gestapo on April 26, 1944, he was deported after being tortured to Neuengamme, where he died on December 17, 1944.
